Collegium Interethnicum (CI) focuses on research, education, expert, and assistance activities. As a think&do tank, we combine scientific passion with practice in the name of “common things”, developing the social capital of Poles (at home and abroad), promoting and developing Polish cultural and scientific heritage, as well as for the bottom-up strengthening of the reputation of Polish and awareness of the importance of Central and Eastern Europe.
In the first years of our activity, we mainly implemented scientific initiatives. Between 2011 and 2016, CI enriched the public debate on m.in intercultural dialogue, European integration, European identity and EU institutions; integration of the Central and Eastern European region; migration, ethnic and religious conflicts, or development cooperation, conducting several conferences analytical projects.
After 2013, the organization began to implement a new interdisciplinary research and assistance path involving the development of knowledge, debate and support instruments in the field of public diplomacy Polish in the cultural, historical, scientific and diasporic dimensions. In addition, research on the activity and identity of the Polish diaspora and Poles abroad in the USA, Canada, the Czech Republic and Romania was undertaken.
